Motorheadache will be playing at the Gasworks in Bradford this Friday and will be leaving with a live DVD shot on the night. Motorhead fans are encouraged to make as much noise as possible - especially Andy from Preston who has the loudest voice ever recorded and can drown out the intro to "Bomber".

Clips from the show will be featured on Motorheadache's myspace website www.myspace.com/motorheadtributeband in the next few weeks.

Motorheadache also played at the Sanctuary Rock Bar in Burnley on Sunday at a charity fundraiser that featured Slack Babbath, Rolling Thunder, Jade and Bob the Busker. Over £1,000 was raised and it was all organised by the inestimable Joey, who struggled with a chest infection all day and got sent home from work the next day.

Motorheadache is sad to hear that former guitarist, Toastie (pictured below) is unwell and the band wish him a speedy recovery. It is hoped that Toastie and other former members of Motorheadache will be able to attend Motorheadache's Xmas Party at the Intake Club, Mansfield on 29th December 2007. Motorheadache is supporting Oliver/Dawson's Saxon and there are four other bands playing. Tickets are priced £10 for the full day.

Updated 22nd November 2007

Rob was in Germany and Holland to play gigs with Motorheat on 16th and 17th November and then stayed to see Motorhead on 20th November. Rob met Lemmy backstage and Lemmy signed Rob's Rickenbacker 4001, remarking that he thought it was one of his from the 1980's. Lemmy's long-standing bass tech, Tim Butcher also agreed. Rob had bought the guitar in London in 2001 and knew nothing of its famous history at that time.

Updated 26th October 2007

Rob was invited again to join Motorheat, a Motorhead tribute based in Belgium, for a couple of gigs last week as part of the ongoing Monsters of Rock festival featuring Action in DC and other tributes. A video of Rob with Motorheat performing "Dead Men Tell No Tales" from earlier in the year can be seen on google video.

Updated 29th August 2007

A new demo CD of Motorheadache live at the Grey Horse in Kingston upon Thames recorded by Studiophonics arrived today. Tracks will be posted to the Motorheadache myspace site www.myspace.com/motorheadtributeband in the next couple of days.

Motorheadache's new myspace music website is www.myspace.com/motorheadtributeband

Some horrible, mean spirited bastard has taken to trying to cancel Motorheadache gigs by phoning up venues on the day of a show and stating that Rob is too ill to appear. Rob has lost weight recently and now has a 30 inch waist - but rumours of his demise are much exaggerated. The weight loss is down to clean living and a calorie controlled diet of chicken and mushroom pot noodle for an evening meal, swigged down with a refreshing glass of Bulmer's cider.

Rob is also kept fit by running away from groupies who mistakenly think the sock is not really a sock down the front of his tight, stretch canvas, black jeans. The pic below encapsulates the moment of realisation and slight confusion for some onstage dancers at a recent gig when the sock fell out during "Orgasmatron". A refund is being sought from customer services at Marks & Spencers' outdoor knitwear section.

So, anyway, the crass attempt to cancel gigs happened twice this weekend and it is obviously deliberate. We have a very loyal following among the bikers in varous clubs across the UK, and if they find out who is up to this, it may not be pleasant. These lads travel a long way to some of our gigs on their bikes and will be aggrieved that they have been messed around (and that we suffered hardship as a result).

Motorheadache was sad to hear of Kelly Johnson's death. Log on to the myspace music site set up as a tribute to her and her career with Girlschool and other projects.

Motorheadache's new myspace music website is www.myspace.com/motorheadtributeband

Motorheadache now has a new 19 year old lead guitarist. Steve (pictured back row, on far left) is from just outside Rotherham and he was able to learn 19 Motorhead songs in 3 days to play the gig in Bradford on 30th June. After the show, Steve was immediately offered the job and advised to grow some facial hair so that the bouncers let him in at future gigs. Steve even resembles 'Fast Eddie' Clarke with his lanky frame and bullet belt. Welcome to Motorheadache. By the time he eventually leaves, we aim that he will look at least 30. Rob was 31 when the band was formed in August 2003 and is now 38, due to the lifestyle. Some people are built for comfort. We're 'built for speed' as Lemmy growls on the song of the same name.

Rob met Lemmy at the aftershow party when Motorhead played the Meltdown Festival in London on 16th June. Many thanks to Denise from Girlschool for helping to sort some backstage passes and aftershow. Observers are invited to note that Lemmy has cowboy boots with cuban heels and is around the 6 foot mark while Rob is wearing converse sneakers. Do the math.

Updated 23rd June 2007

Motorheadache is sad to report that long-standing guitarist, Nigel 'Toastie' Duckenfield (below) has quit the band. In a short text message, Toastie advised that he was unable to do Saturday's charity gig for 'Rock of the North' and it transpires that he is apparently opening a cat sanctuary on the outskirts of Sheffield for runaways.

Toastie is taking orders for short haired blue cats and these can be bred to order with a guarantee that they are not genetically modified in any way. It's fitting that Toastie will now be surrounded by lots of pussy on a daily basis and 'Dirty' Dave can get back most of his loaned porn stash. Good luck Toastie and thanks for the time with us.

However, former Motorheadache guitarist, Slick (pictured below) stepped in at the eleventh hour to help out for the gig. Thanks a lot Slick from Motorheadache and the Rock of the North's Rot 'n Snot organisers. The search is on for a new guitarist...

The Classic Albums Festival kicks off today (17th May) for twelve days and features Motorheadache playing Motorhead's seminal live album 'No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' (expanded version) on Saturday 26th May. Alan Burridge of Motorheadbangers fan club is hoping to make the gig and recently sent some back copies of the fanzine to Rob in exchange for a Motorheadache t-shirt.

Motorheadache are pleased to announce that they are headlining this year's Rot 'n' Stock festival on 23rd June in West Yorkshire. The festival is organised by those delightful chaps from Rock of the North - a certain Mr Steve Lally springs to mind. It is in a good cause so Motorheadache is waiving its fee that night.

In pursuit of a knighthood from Tony Blair for charitiable endeavours before he leaves Prime Ministerial Orifice, Motorheadache are also playing this year's Down at the Plough Festival in Oxford, in aid of the Bikers with a Disability charity.

In October, Rob will be joining Belgium based Motorhead tribute band, Motorheat, for a short tour of the Netherlands and Germany. Rob was able to help the band out at the last minute a couple of weeks ago when their Lemmy was taken ill. Rob will carry on with touring commitments for both bands.

Apologies to anyone trying to get in contact with the band in the last 6 weeks on the 07830 128724 number. This was down to the sheer ineptitude of 3 Mobile who managed to cancel the entire contract when it was requested that they simply convert the contract from monthly to 'pay as you go'.

After numerous conversations with unhelpful and mendacious managers from 3 Mobile (who appear to be based somewhere on the Indian sub continent and are unable to transfer calls to customer services in Glasgow), Motorheadache is now pursuing the complain formally with the ombudsman, Otelo. Please e-mail the band on if you were trying to contact us to offer a gig and could not get through.

In the meantime, if you are interested in a range of mobile phone solutions from a leading provider in the field with superb customer service and a keen pricing structure, Motorheadache recommends 3 Immobile

Motorheadache played in Brighton at the weekend and were charmed by half a dozen girls resplendant in full playboy bunny outfits. Miyo (on the left) is one of the suicide girls and Anna is an aspiring actress due to appear in a play at the end of this month. More pics to follow!

Updated 22nd January 2007

Updated 9th January 2007

Happy new year to all Motorheadbangers! After a well earned rest from the "Thirsty and Miserable" tour last year, Motorheadache is ready for business in 2007. In what can only be described as a 'peaceful merger', Motrheadache is delighted to announce that it will resume gigging from 3rd February with new drummer and Mickey Dee look-a-like 'Andrew Abramovitch', formerly with We're Not Motorhead. Andy will cover gigs on the south coast of England and up as far as London. Dirty Dave will cover the Midlands upwards.

Toastie remains the main guitarist, although his recent desision to stop drinking has been noted and is not meeting with fan approval. When pissed he was a miserable git. Sober, he's even worse! Get back on the drink, Toastie and stop saying "I'm aff it!".

Updated 15th November 2006

Well sports fans, we are in the technological age and now have a myspace account - except some enterprising individual has already got the 'motorheadache' one so you have to get to 'mymotorheadache' - a really neat url of: http://www.myspace.com/mymotorheadache.

Also please ignore the motorheadache1 thing. Nothing to do with us. That was our former guitarist, Mick, who left the band to pursue a career working as an agent and part-time cleaner at Center Parcs. Good luck Mick.

Updated 14th November 2006

Rob and Joanna managed to meet Lemmy in the afternoon at Motorhead's Bradford gig last week and Joanna managed to capture a few photos. These will appear shortly in the gallery section. Lemmy put them both of them on the guest list that night after hearing that Motorheadache is still touring hard and fast, but he was not pleased with Joanna for forcing Rob to get a hair cut and flipped her the bird (as seen in the forthcoming photo).

Rob planned to wear the "Lost Johnny" t-shirt given to him by John from up Newcastle way (get in touch about stag do gig in April), but it didn't quite come off and now it can't be found. Very strange.

Updated 29th October 2006

Huge thanks to Stef and Andy from We're Not Motorhead, a Motorhead tribute based in Portsmouth, who joined us onstage recently in Bristol. Without any real rehearsal, we all managed to play an extensive set list from the Motorhead repertoire. Plans are afoot for some other South Coast get togethers.

Rob also recently appeared with Graham Oliver of Oliver/Dawson's Saxon at a charity gig in Mexborough - "Jamming for Jamie" and a DVD is on sale available from Mexborough Community Partnership - 01709 582 244. All artists on the night waived their fee in aid of the Memorial Trust Fund commemorating the four children killed at the town's accident blackspot.

Updated 29th September 2006

Motorheadache regrets to advise that it has had to remove its online demo tracks as a result of the Performing Rights Society's insistence on the payment of royalties to them (but not actually Motorhead). To read the fully story go to media.

Updated 27th September 2006

Motorheadache will be joined onstage for a few numbers by Andy, the drummer from We're Not Motorhead, a Portsmouth based Motorhead tribute. We are reliably informed that Andy has one of Mickey Dee's old kits. Looking forward to a night of Motorhead classics.

Speaking of other Motorhead tributes, for the best Lemmy vocal check out Bombers from Norway. Give Rob another six inches (in height, of course) and that man's voice and it would be son of Lemmy.

Updated 12th September 2006

With the release of Motorhead's new opus 'Kiss of Death' at the end of August, Motorheadache have now introduced 'One Night Stand' into the set. Other tracks thought likely to appear include 'Devil I Know' and 'Sucker'.

Many thanks to Stuart Wilson who photographed us at the recent Big Ball 3 AC/DC convention in Wrexham. A couple of his pics are now featured in our gallery.

Updated 25th August 2006

Following a number of requests from hardcore fans, Motorheadache is considering putting up online some aural snippets of the rehearsals in London with 'Fast' Eddie Clarke from December 2004. Rob and 'Dirty Dave' jammed along with Eddie to tracks such as 'Bomber', 'Overkill', 'Keep Us on the Road' and 'Ace of Spade' in preparation for the Cartoon Club gig in Croydon on 8th January 2005. Watch this space.

Updated 4th August 2006

Motorheadache have managed to get hold of a promo copy of the new Motorhead album "Kiss of Death" released later this month on 26 August.

Many thanks to that Motorheadbanger who wishes to remain anonymous. Motorheadache are practicising "One Night Stand" and a few others from the album.

Many thanks to Graham Oliver, founder member of Saxon, who joined Motorheadache onstage for a jam on several numbers at the SNAFU gig on 22nd July. Remember to check out the new tracks from Oliver/Dawson' Saxon.

Updated 2nd August 2006

Ever wondered what it might be like to sit with Lemmy in a pub, watching a band, shooting pool, talking about the Bomber tour, Fast Eddie and Philthy Phil? Well...

Rob has intelligence information though the Motorhead grapevine that Lemmy himself will be attending ****** **** gig in the UK in August. Motorheadachers known to Rob may be passed the information if they the band.

If you are female (and you may need to prove it to the satisfaction of a medical board), please do not offer sexual favours in return for the information. Rob gets quite enough of that at home (although 'Nathan the knob jockey' aka 'the drummer' would be grateful for sloppy seconds). If you are male and can offer beer or money, with details of your bribe.

Please note that Lemmy may actually tell you to fuck off if you annoy him too much. Especially if your opening line is "Whoo-hoo Lemmy man, Ace of Spades, Ace of Spades!!!". It has been done to him by some people in the past and he has replied "Have you listened to anything after 'Ace of Spades', you cunt?".

You have been warned.

Updated 10th July 2006

Apologies to all concerned, but the promoter of the Motorhead convention scheduled for Saturday 5th August in Liverpool has cancelled the show. It seems that we are not the only ones to suffer this fate since the promoter has cancelled conventions planned for for Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers and quite a few other bands. For more information look at www.rockoff.co.uk/dates.htm

Also, best wishes to Nathan who sustained a Spinal Tap drummer type injury last week, but has so far survived.

Updated 29th June 2006

Oliver/Dawson's Saxon have confirmed that Motorheadache will be the support act at their gig in Rotherham at SNAFU on Saturday July 22nd. The gig is a one-off and is free of charge to the first 250 fans that get there on the night. Once the venue is full, admission will be by queueing outside so the advice is get there early!

Oliver/Dawson's Saxon have some new tracks that can be previewed by going to their myspace site.

Updated 15th June 2006

Rob celebrated his 37th birthday in true rock 'n' roll style by getting a new short haircut and losing the Motorheadache fan base. However, the haircut knocks ten years off him (along with the new slimline look) and Joanna has been all over him since so there are compensations. It was also part of Joanna's 30th birthday present.

Rob and Toastie are off to see Motorhead at Hyde Park on 17th June and once they are back they are in rehearsal mode for the Rotherham All Stars night at Snafu in Rotherham on 30th June.

Updated 31 May 2006

The summer of fun for Motorhead begins with a number of heavy duty gigs throughout June and July (see gigs for details) and culminates with the inaugral Motorhead tribute convention at the infamous Cavern Club in Liverpool on 5th August.

Guest stars include Graham Oliver of Oliver/Dawson's Saxon and hopefully Pete Gill, former Motorhead drummer from 1984 to 1987.

Motorheadache will be playing a special set that day covering the Fast Eddie years from 1976 to 1982 and also when Motorhead were a four piece from 1984 to 1993. The current line up will perform the songs from 1993 to date.

Motorheadache is interested in hearing from anyone who could play the Brian Robertson material from Another Perfect Day, including Hoochie Coochie Man and Nadine. Contact Rob on 07830 128724 for e-maill the .

Updated 17 April 2006

Motorheadache has a new publicity flyer, preview below! Based loosely around the theme of Stage Fright (ahem), the poster was the result of much hard work by what can only be described as the 'design team from Hell' late last year but only unveiled now for contractual reasons. Nemo malus felix.

Updated 7 March 2006

Motorheadache is delighted to announce that Joanna will be helping out with merchandising and marketing/photography. More of a Thunder fan than Motorhead, Joanna has succumbed to Rob's charms and the prospect of no pay on condition that he keeps her role fairly low profile (see pic below), her age is a secret (30 in June) and that she has an exclusive contract. Welcome to the band!

Updated 3 March 2006

Motorheadache's Rob and Toastie will be meeting former Motorhead drummer Pete Gill in Sheffield in a few days time. On 30th June 2006 at SNAFU in Rotherham, Motorheadache will be joined onstage by Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson of Oliver/Dawson's Saxon to jam a few Saxon numbers, with possibly Pete and Graham Oliver playing some Motorhead too.

Updated 23 February 2006

Motorheadache drummer Dirty Dave has returned to the fold after a brief sabbatical of six months. Nathan, formerly of Iron Maiden tribute Powerslave UK, has agreed to join Motorheadache as reserve drummer and new drummer for Rob's new classic rock covers band the Rock 'n' Roll Outlaws.

The Outlaws gigs are listed on the Motorheadache website and a new website for the band will be forthcoming. It is possible for venues to book the Outlaws as support to Motorheadache for future gigs so that the crowd get Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Led Zepplin and Deep Purple as well as Motorhead on the night. For gig enquiries contact Glenn on the bookings link.

Updated 6 February 2006

The new Motorheadache tour 'Thirsty and Miserable' kicked off at the Cartoon Club in Croydon. Needless to say that the song itself performed by Lemmy will be added to the set list.

Updated 12 December 2005

Motorheadache are planning to take a short break in January to recharge batteries considering that they have been on the 'Threshold of Pain' tour of the UK since August 2003.

Updated 6 November 2005

Thanks to Graham Oliver of Oliver/Dawson's Saxon, Rob was able to get backstage to meet Lemmy in Sheffield at short notice. Pictures courtesy of Joanna now in the gallery section.

Updated 13 October 2005

Quite a few changes since last update! Guitarist Adam left to spend more time with his family after meeting Natasha and Toastie has joined us again as Adam's replacement. Plans are afoot for Motorhead's UK tour and Rob is hoping to get backstage to meet the band in Sheffield or London.

Updated 29 August 2005

Dirty Dave injured his arm and is taking a few months out to recover so Liam andf former drummer Steve are sharing the stick work until Dave is fit again.

Updated 1 June 2005

Motorheadache is proud to unleash some new demo tracks recorded as a three piece in January at the Limelight Club in Crewe. Mp3 files available for download in the Media section.

A massive thanks to 'Fast' Eddie Clarke for advice and support in our transition to a three piece. He worked us hard in November and we are a much better band now for it. Sign the guestbook if you agree - let us know what you think.

Birmingham's best Motorhead fan Dunk is organsing a get together of Motorheadbangers from all over the world on 16 June around lunch time for the Motorhead 30th anniversary show that night. If you are interested in getting details, e-mail us! I'm also thinking about a Motorheadache gig in a pub near the venue in the afternoon if anyone has any ideas.

Updated 18 April 2005

Due to public demand, Motorheadache now has a guestbook. To add an entry, go to our Mailing List section and follow the signs for guestbook.

Alternatively, if you are a lazy sod and wish to bypass our cunning ruse to get you signed up for our online mailing list just click here

Thanks to Brooza, Motorheadache now has a copy of the gig played at the Monster of Rock of Ages in Leeds on 6 November 2004. Mp3s of the gig are now available for download in the media section of the website.

Updated 28 January 2005

Motorheadache were joined onstage by 'Fast' Eddie Clarke at their gig on 8 January at the Cartoon Club in Croydon and played Bomber and Ace of Spades. The crowd went suitably mad and Eddie enjoyed it so much that he intends to do it again in February with a german Motorhead tribute band in aid of the Tsunami appeal.

Updated 15 December 2004

Motorheadache had a brilliant jam session with 'Fast' Eddie Clarke in London and received a Motorhead masterclass from the axe hero himself. Rob and 'Dirty' Dave jammed Ace of Spades, Bomber, We Are the Road Crew, Shoot You in the Back and Keep Us on the Road with Eddie. A mini disk recording of the session exists, but is under wraps, subject to Eddie getting a listen to it and providing some more feedback.

After the jam session, the band had a long debate on musical direction and it was decided that Motorheadache will carry on as a three piece. Adam has taken over all guitar duties in the 'Fast' Eddie Clarke mould and Motorheadache would like to thank Toastie for everything he contributed to the band.

The new three piece band played live together for the first time last Saturday and is in full rehearsal mode for all the gigs lined up in the New Year.

Updated 02 December 2004

Rob met 'Fast' Eddie backstage at the Motorhead gig in London and the band will be going to London on 8 December for a jam session with the legendary axe man!

Strong favourites include Iron Fist, Bomber, Ace of Spades and Overkill with the possibility of Stone Dead Forever and even the classic Keep Us on the Road.

E-mail requests for songs you would like Fast Eddie to play with Motorheadache to

Updated 13 November 2004

Motorhead legend 'Fast' Eddie Clarke is coming to see the mighty Motorheadache in action at the Cartoon Club in Croydon. The gig is scheduled for Saturday 8 January 2005 and will feature Rich Bitch in support. Rob met up with Eddie in London last month and Eddie is not adverse to the idea of joining the band onstage towards the end of the gig for a few numbers.

Updated 12 November 2004

Rob met Lemmy, Phil and Mikkey backstage at the Sheffield gig and a couple of pictures of Rob as Lemmy with Lemmy should be posted into the Gallery section in the next few days.

Motorheadache is now working on 'Whorehouse Blues' from the new Inferno album after its surprise inclusion on the Motorhead set list for the current UK tour.

Updated 7 November 2004

Motorheadache appeared at the Monster of Rock of Ages show in Leeds on 6 November with Hi On Maiden, Back in Black and Fisted Sister. An eager sound recordist in the crowd has captured it on mini disc and is sending a copy to the band. Some mp3s from the show will appear online shortly.

Updated 05 August 2004

Motorheadache has recruited a new drummer. In typical 'Philthy' Phil Taylor mode, three weeks ago former drummer Steve injured his hand in a gardening accident with a hoe and was temporarily replaced at three days notice for a gig by 'Dirty' Dave from Barnsley. However, 'Dirty' Dave was so good that he has been invited to stay on as drummer under the name of 'Tricky' Dee, in keeping with the technically proficient Mikkey Dee from Motorhead.

Motorheadache is now hard at work on a number of double bass drum driver classics such as 'Burner', 'Heart of Stone', 'the Wolf' 'Sacrifice' and possibly even 'Locomotive'!!

A new demo showcasing the 'new' band members will be available shortly.

Updated 08 July 2004

Motorheadache now has a DVD of a recent show and some clips from this will be appearing online in the new revamped media section. A new demo of the band as a four-piece will shortly be available too.

Motorhead's new album "Inferno" was recently released and Motorheadache has started to play "Keys to the Kingdom", while working on "In the Name of Tragedy" and "Terminal Show".

Updated 21 June 2004

Motorheadache is working hard on learning some songs from Motorhead's new album "Inferno", released today. Songs likely to feature are "Keys to the Kingdom", "In the Name of Tragedy" and "Terminal Show".

With the addition of a new guitarist, Adam, Motorheadache as a four-piece band is now louder and more intense than ever! A demo of the expanded Motorheadache will be available shortly.

There is a whisper that Lemmy might be getting to see Motorheadache at a forthcoming gig ahead of their own UK tour in November. More info on that nearer the time...

Updated 21 February 2004

A new live demo of Motorheadache recorded at the Limelight Club in Crewe is now available. Professionally engineered by Dave Bennet, the CD is entitled "Motorheadache - We're On the Road Crewe". Contact to request a CD Rom copy.

Some of the mp3's from the live demo are available on the website now for download (right click and 'save target as' Kevin).

Updated 23 January 2004

On 28 May 2004, Motorheadache will be supporting Girlschool at the Office in South Shields. Negotiations are underway for Rob to appear with Girlschool dressed as Lemmy to sing on "Please Don't Touch"!

Updated 12 December 2003

Some pictures of Rob meeting Lemmy (while dressed as Lemmy) are now uploaded in the gallery section. The pictures were taken at Nottingham Rock City in October 2003 when Motorhead were on their UK tour.

An interview with Lemmy and Phil Campbell at that gig by Glenn from online metal magazine Metalliville is also now available.
